"Twelve dedicated men of Omega organized the Sigma Kappa Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity on December 13, 1997.  Bound by friendship and committed to service, Brothers Clifton Hayes, Samuel Jenkins, James D. Carter, Alvin Bernard Jolly, Samuel Bernard Goodwin, James M. Walton, Robert R. Ambrose, Claude Paige, Warren Tillman, Paul R. Brooks, Ernest L. Shannon, and Russell Perez Gatlin came together to form a union of educated men, committed to making a positive difference for citizens in Chesapeake.  The work of these brothers served as the foundational cornerstone for the Omega presence in the city.  On March 14, 1998, the Sigma Kappa Kappa Chapter was officially chartered in the City of Chesapeake, VA.  Brother Shelton Williams, Spring 1992, Pi Gamma, was the first member to join the chapter and guided the chapter’s growth.  In the spring of 1999, five brothers were initiated into the fraternity through SKK (Resurrection line) and in the fall of 2000, two more brothers were initiated into Omega Psi Phi through SKK (Fire Hazard line).  In 2005, one brother was initiated into the chapter.  After a period of dormancy, on July 15, 2016, the chapter was re-chartered under the leadership of Bro. Justin Hampton, Fall '07 Pi Gamma Chapter.  In 2017, four brothers (Suicide Squad) were initiated into Sigma Kappa Kappa.  Since that time, under the leadership of SKK Basileus Brother Kodi Fleming, Lambda Gamma '04, the chapter has emerged as the “Working Chapter” of Chesapeake, ensuring the citizens of the City of Chesapeake find uplift, encouragement, wherever necessary and most importantly, service!" During the pandemic, through perseverance, SKK initiated four more brothers (Que World Order) into Omega Land in the Fall of 2020.
